It snowed last night pretty good.  I'm really looking forward to tonight's cold swim in GSL Marina.

Update:

6pm:  Just finished a solo swim out at the marina.  The water temp was 49.2 f.  I did three laps.  Nobody was there and I didn't want to push it being unsafe so I passed up that 4th lap, but could have done it under proper observation.  Started to feel muscles freeze up a little on that third lap.  Recovery involved lots of shaking but no crazy finger/toe pain which is the worst part of the whole thing.  Only 8 more degrees and the temp will be optimal for the ice mile.

Today's swim was a big boost to my confidence about my ability to do that ice mile.  Granted 8 degrees colder is a HUGE difference.  But still.....

This song came to my mind.  "This ain't impossible, This ain't improbable."
